Our client is a prestigious, large‑scale Japanese securities firm with a powerful global footprint spanning Tokyo, London, New York, and Hong Kong. They are looking for an Analyst reporting to the Head of Finance Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Operations: Manage daily accounting tasks, including journal inputs, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
- Regulatory Compliance: Support daily Financial Resources Rules (FRR) liquid capital calculations and assist with ad hoc FRR projections.
- Global Reporting: Assist in preparing the Tokyo Consolidation package, risk management reports, and draft FRR returns to the SFC for VP review.
- Business Analysis: Help gather data and conduct basic trend analysis for daily and weekly business review reports.
- Month‑End & Audit: Support month‑end closing, prepare schedules, and assist with annual financial audits and tax computations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Top‑tier universities preferred).
- Experience: 0–3 years of accounting experience. Fresh graduates with a strong drive to learn are highly welcome. Prior experience in securities firms is a plus but not a must.
- Qualifications: Student member or actively pursuing a professional qualification (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA) is an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (Macros, Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts).
- Product Knowledge: Basic knowledge or good understanding of Equity, Fixed Income, and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) business.
- Core Competencies: Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work under pressure.
- Language: Good command of written and spoken English.
