Chief Operating Officer for a Prestigious International Conglomerate

Our client, a prestigious international conglomerate with a significant presence in Asia, is seeking a Group‑level COO / COS for their operations in the region.

The Group COO / CSO will play a vital role in supporting the Group CEO on all matters related to the company’s performance and operational management. This position involves crafting strategies to further expand their business empire across Asia. The Group COO will serve as a trusted advisor to the Group CEO, ready to provide guidance and support at any moment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership‑ Drive strategy and manage external communications, while effectively responding to crisis situations.
  • Communication Protocols‑ Establish a business and communication protocol to keep top leaders informed about the latest developments and accomplishments in various projects.
  • Meeting Preparation‑Prepare and review meeting materials in collaboration with the Group CEO.
  • Transformation Oversight‑ Initiate and oversee all transformation projects, ensuring smooth transitions and improvements.
  • Relationship Management‑Cultivate friendly and close relationships with all Managing Directors across various business units.
  • Cultural Monitoring‑ Closely monitor the organization’s culture to positively reflect on the company’s image and branding.
  • Stakeholder Interaction‑ Engage with diverse stakeholders, including the media and Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Business Management, Economics, or Accounting & Finance.
  • A minimum of 10‑15 years of experience in management consulting firms, particularly in the Retail & Consumer, Hospitality, or Real Estate sectors, or relevant experience in a large organization.
  • Proven track record in providing business strategy to large private equity or buy‑side investment companies like BlackRock.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen sensitivity to data.
  • Politically and culturally aware, with strong leadership abilities to manage and inspire a diverse team.
  • Well‑informed about global news, with a genuine interest in the latest technologies and social issues.
