Head of Investment Fund Operations

Our client is a large Insurance company in Asia. Due to the strategic changes, they are now hiring and experienced and self‑driven from buyside Asset Management companies to join them as the Head of Investment Fund Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up the investment operation team and act as Manager in Charge for Operation (Middle Office Process, Control, Review and Risk)
  • Overseeing the infrastructure of the insurance company’s investment operations, risk Management, compliance, finance and accounting
  • Perform full fund operational support including assistance in trade execution, settlement and reporting
  • Liaise with fund managers, fund administrators, custodians, and brokers on daily fund operational and administration issues
  • generates daily performance reports for analysts and portfolio managers.
  • Work with both internal parties and external partners to provide support on launching new products and new businesses
  • Maintain and review internal policies, procedures and controls
  • Establish internal risk limits and compliance guidelines in relation to the Fund mandate
  • Manage all investor enquires and assist with operational DD request from clients
  • New trading/ ISDA relationships setup. Fulfil regular AML and KYC requests, due diligence and credit reviews from counterparties; Co‑ordinate with legal counsel in reviewing ISDA and GMRA documentations
  • Coordinate with auditors to perform annual statutory and compliance audits for the fund and the corporate entities

Requirements:​ 

  • At least 10 to 15 years of relevant fund operations or fund admin experience within the investment space
  • Degree or above preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
  • Experience with systems such as Bloomberg AIM, Enfusion is preferred
  • Able to work independently and self‑motivated with good command in spoken and written English and Chinese
