Research Analyst – Family Office

Our client, a multi‑billion‑dollar family office based in Hong Kong, is looking for a smart, dynamic and technically competent candidate to join their family office as an Investment Researcher.

His/her main responsibilities include reporting to and working closely with the Chief Investment Officer to understand the unique goals, risk profiles and restrictions of the family and ensure the consistent implementation of the investment mandates against the stated requirements.

  • Working closely with the investment team to oversee all aspects of the family’s investments across all asset classes including, PE, Equities, Bonds, and Real Estate.
  • Carry out general research, generate new investment ideas, monitor markets and investment risks.
  • Construct model portfolios and execute portfolio rebalancing and hedging as required.
  • Provide support to the Business Development team and their investments in Greater China including ad‑hoc analysis with regards to the change in regulations in mainland China.

  • Communicates clearly and effectively in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
  • Born in Mainland China is preferable. Or has lived in China for 10+ years

Professional and Technical

  • University degree in Economics, Finance or Business
  • 5‑7 years of working experience in buy or sell side in the Financial Industry
  • CFA qualification preferred but NOT a must
  • Excellent financial/investment market knowledge with regards to private equity, bonds, rates, credits, currencies, equities and real estate investments
  • Quantitative/statistical skills for portfolio optimization and bond screening
  • Knowledge of Financial Information systems such as Bloomberg, Factiva and Capital IQ
